Salento Primitivo IGT Puglia Italien 13,5% vol 75cl

In the mid-1990s, a DNA test revealed that the Primitivo grape is an ancestor of the great California Zinfandel grape. The grapes are processed traditionally. Fermentation then takes place in large stainless steel tanks at low temperatures. Due to the low temperatures during the fermentation process, the fruity aromas of the grapes are better preserved in the wine, at the same time the must is slightly rotated during fermentation. This procedure enhances the color of the wine and releases additional flavor nuances. The warmth of the sun from the Puglia region conveys this Primitivo with great aromas of ripe blackberries, raspberries and red fruit jelly. In the taste it has a good concentration of fruit and a balanced fish.
